*Updates*

It's been a while since I wrote a new post. This post is just update on what I've been going through lately..

Firstly, I started working in the lab since 5th January and it's been nearly a month already. How time flies. I'm starting to get some interesting results from my experiment. My supervisor said that there is something interesting with the result and with further experiments if things turn out fine, I might get my first paper published.InsyaAllah. I hope it will become a reality. My supervisor is really excited with the progress that she even ask me if i want to continue with the project when the semester starts. So, maybe if my timetable permits me to do so, I will be in the lab during the semester as well. Yay!!I'm sooo happy..hehe.. (bunyi nerd giler kan..but this is what I like doing).

Last weekend, it was a long weekend as it was Australia day on Monday (Australia Day tue hari merdeka dorg). So, it was a 3 days break. Yahoo!!. As I don't want to spend my holiday staying at home doing nothing, I rented a car and do some travelling. At first, I want to go to Canberra as ciktie kate bosan I changed the plan to Sunshine Coast. In the end, ciktie can't join as she have to work.

So, with the holiday. On Saturday, me and Hana went to pick up the car at Valley where luck was on our side. If not, we couldn't get a car as it was out of stock already. Once we got the car, we were wondering where to go then we decided to go to Byron bay as both of us haven't been there yet. We went to the lighthouse at Byron bay where the view was MasyaAllah..so spectacular and breathtaking. Seriusly lawa giler. The water was so clear that we can see sharks and rays. But the weather was killing us, it was sooo hot. Then we went to crystal castle after it was recommended by this lady. It was pure dissapointment. I thought it was like a real castle coated with crystal but it turn out to be a garden with lots of Buddha statues. We even had to pay $10 for the entrance fee. It was not worth it at all. So, done for day 1.

The next day, we started the journey at 7am with another friend, Ella. So the 3 of us first head to Glasshouse Mt, where the scenary was so peaceful and so mind relaxing. As we were there early, there's still some morning mist on the mountains which adds to the relaxness (ade ke perkataan nie?hehe). Then we got lost in a maze at Tanawha. the maze was like the one in Harry Potter 4 except that it was not that high. It was tiresome getting lost in the maze but we enjoyed it. Later on, we had lunch on the beach where the sun was directly on our head. Seriously no wonder Qld has the highest rate of skin cancer. The sun was killing me. The last destination was Noosa heads where we didn't stay long as everybody was tired and don't want to stay out in the sun for that long. So, it ends our journey for the long weekend.

Another news is that my sister will be going to borading school soon. She has been offered a place at Sc Muar where my cousin just graduated from there last year. After this there will be nobody at home except Una and my parents. Sometimes I do pity my parents, they have 5 kids but all of them are away from home. Sian dorg.

Lastly, I'm gonna miss another wedding in the family. My aunt is getting married this weekend and I was suppose to be her pengapit. I wish I was back home. Everybody will be back for her wedding and they all are having fun without me. (Another regret feeling for studying abroad). Not fair, just not fair. Well this is life, you won't get everything that you want in your life. Sometimes, a sacrifice is needed.

Banning for the sake of security??

Seriously aku tak sangka dalam dunia masa kini still ada orang yang berfikiran kolot and pikir yang bukan2 pasal appearance seseorang.

Hujung pangkal die macam nie, aku bukak laptop nak check email. So bukakla yahoo punya homepage as aku pakai yahoomail. tapi disebabkab aku duk kat Australia, die punya homepage yang bukak pun yahoo Autralia la. Then aku terpandang die punya news headlines yang suka highlight menda2 yang sensasi nie, punyala terkejut sebab the first headline says :

"Retailers call for ban on hijab, hoodie"

Sbenarnya xdela terkejut sangat sebab banyak je kes mat saleh tak boleh terima orang pakai tudung in public. Macam kes kat France brape tahun lepas yang ban orang Islam pakai tudung kat sekolah. Tapi tak sangka benda tue ada kat sini jugak. Dahla yang wat comment tue radio announcer Brisbane.

Bila terpandang tue, macam2 perasaan timbul tapi mostly rase sedih and nak marah pun ada. Ada ke die kate nie bukan pasal agama tapi pasal keselamatan sebab banyak org jahat kat oversea (luar Aussie) guna hijab as disguise nak commit crime. Tak patut betul die cakap macam tue, ada ke die judge orang melalui rupa. Suka betul la buat andaian yang tak masuk akal, suka betul la kaitkan orang Islam dengan menda2 yang negative nie. Hisy..nak marahnya.

Nasib baikla orang dari retailer association bangkang menda nie. Dia kate comment tue menunjukkan si komen tue takut dengan orang asing and tak mature. Orang2 retail nie pun kata seseorang patut dibenarkan pakai dorg punya cultural dress kat dalam kedai.

Hisy tula..payah tol duk ngan community yang bukan Islam nie. Ade je menda yang dorg nak cari pasal. Hopefully menda2 macam nie xde lagi in the future. Rase tak selamat tol nak duk kat bumi yang majoritynye orang kafir nie. Cepatla abes study aku nak balik Malaysia cepat2. (homesick mode..hehe)

The January Birthday Bash

Ahad lepas bersamaan dengan 4 January bersamaan dengan 7 Muharam, kitorg wat birthday party for budak2 yang lahir bulan January. ramaila plak budak2 nie yang lahir bulan nie: Hajar, Ciktie, Soul and Diana. Rahim as well tapi disebabkan die dah balik Malaysia tak dapat nak sambut sekali.

Punyela perah otak kan nak buat apa utk birthday dorg last2 Ciktie request buat ikan bakar disebabkan die dah bosan dengan menu biasa bbq iaitu ayam, daging, kambing and sausage. So disebabkan yang diraikan dah request sebegitu, kitorg pn decide nk wat masakan kampung. Nasi, ikan sumbat bakar, daging bakar, air asam, sambal belacan, kerabu mangga and last but not least ulam. Memula igt wat ulam timun je pastue bile pergi Darra the day before jumpe Kacang Botol.OMG!! kacang botol kot, lame giler tak makan kacang botol. Aku pn without hesitate terus beli kacang botol tue.

Rindunya nak balik Malaysia and makan mende2 nie. Kalau kat M'sia ikan sumbat tue mesti mak letak banyak2 pucuk and kitorg adik beradik akn berebut nk korek daun2 tue and tinggal ikan aje tergolek2..hehe..Tapi angan2 jela kan. Nak buat jugak ikan sumbat pucuk2 tue tp mane nak cari pucuk beruas, pucuk teh, daun salem sume tue. Nak tak nak, ikan sumbat cili ajela.

Okla tue, arie tue makan sampai dah tak boleh nak makan dah pn sbb cili dlm kerabu mangga tue pedas giler so makan disulam air (mmg kembung r). Tak termasuk lagi dgn dessert dadih jelly kiwi, kek Tiramisu Hana and my 1st baked cake, kek peach upside down.hehe..(selama nie wat kek batik je, tak perlu nak masuk oven..hehe).

Reminder to all and myself

Since sekarang nie bulan muharram, jadi kita akan berjumpa dengan hari Ashura iaitu hari Allah menyelamatkan Bani Israil dari musuh mereka seperti yang dalam hadith berikut:

Ibn 'Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: "The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came to Madeenah and saw the Jews fasting on the day of 'Ashura'. He said, 'What is this?' They said, 'This is a righteous day, it is the day when Allaah saved the Children of Israel from their enemies, so Musa fasted on this day.' He said, 'We have more right to Musa than you,' so he fasted on that day and commanded [the Muslims] to fast on that day." (Reported by al-Bukhaari, 1865).

Jadi insyaAllah ada reward yang lumayan untuk mereka yang berpuasa pada hari tersebut, iaitu terhapus dosa-dosa untuk satu tahun:

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "For fasting the day of 'Ashura', I hope that Allaah will accept it as expiation for the year that went before." (Reported by Muslim, 1976).

I would like to encourage rakan-rakan semua berpuasa pada hari Ashura 10 muharram dan juga 9 Muharram bagi membezakan dengan orang ahlul kitab iaitu bersamaan 6 dan 7 Januari. I know hari nie dah 6 Januari, so sesiapa yang tak sempat nak puasa hari nie boleh juga puasa pada hari esok.

Fresh start for a new beginning

The first post for the new beginning!!. Another year older, another year of hard work, another year of fun and another year closer to kubur.hehehe.. (Well, we are not getting any younger kan?). Even though today is the first day of a new year but it’s already the 4th day of the new year in the Hijrah calendar. A new beginning does not complete without the new year resolution and I like to share my resolution with you guys so that you can remind me of them whenever I forgets.

Here goes the list..

1.Be closer to Allah
2.Khatam Al-Quran at least once
3.Get at least distinction in all subjects
4.Have more savings
5.Go to Japan & Korea

This is all that I could think for the time being. Have a great 2009 everybody!!
